Happy Valley,as the name suggests is in a deep valley about a mile from the village centre in Meopham. On Friday 27th March 2020, the temperature fell to -4.3c overnight and to the best of my knowledge, and certainly out of 300+ amateur stations was the coldest place in Southern England. It was also colder than any Met Office station in the South East.

The coldest Met Office site in the South East of England was Wisley in Surrey at -2.6c
